Delivery Time & Auto Accept

How to configure delivery times and automatic order acceptance in WinOrder

MERGEPORT

Last Update un mese fa

The WinOrder integration supports both delivery time configuration and automatic order acceptance (Auto Accept).

Both settings directly influence how incoming online orders are processed in the POS system.
Delivery Time
WinOrder provides two ways to handle delivery times:
Default Delivery Time

A fixed delivery time can be configured as a default value.

This value is automatically applied to incoming orders.

Individual Delivery Time per Order

Alternatively, the delivery time can be set individually for each order.

In this case:
  • A delivery time dialog appears when a new order arrives
  • The delivery time can be adjusted manually
  • The selected time is sent back to the ordering platform
This setup is ideal for restaurants that want to react dynamically to workload or peak times.
Auto Accept
Default Behavior

By default, Auto Accept is disabled.

This means:
  • Orders appear in the “Online Orders” section
  • Each order must be accepted manually
  • The delivery time dialog is shown

    Enabling Auto Accept

Auto Accept can be configured in WinOrder settings.

    To enable it:
    • Activate “Automatically save and print”
    • Disable the delivery/pickup time dialog
    Relevant settings:
    • Action for incoming orders → “Automatically save and print”
    • Ask for delivery/pickup time → “Do not ask”

    Behavior with Auto Accept Enabled

    When Auto Accept is active:

    • Orders are accepted automatically
    • No manual confirmation is required
    • The delivery time dialog is disabled
    • Orders are immediately saved and (optionally) printed
Interaction Between Delivery Time & Auto Accept
These two features are directly connected:
    • Manual acceptance → allows individual delivery time per order
    • Auto Accept enabled → uses default delivery time, no manual adjustment possible

    Best Practices

    • Enable Auto Accept only if fixed delivery times are sufficient
    • Use manual acceptance if flexible delivery time control is needed
    • Keep the delivery time dialog active if adjustments per order are required
    Notes
    • Delivery time is sent back to the ordering platform
    • Avoid frequent delivery time changes
    • All configuration is done directly within WinOrder
