MERGEPORT

Last Update 15 days ago

With the GloriaFood integration, restaurants can automatically receive online orders from their GloriaFood shop directly in the POS system via MERGEPORT.

This integration enables efficient order handling and menu synchronization in one unified workflow

1. Create a GloriaFood Shop

If you don’t already have a GloriaFood shop, create one (free version available).

Inside GloriaFood:
  • Add your menu items
  • Configure delivery and pickup settings
  • Activate payment methods

Make sure your shop is fully configured and ready to receive orders before proceeding.
2. Create the Accepted Orders API Integration in GloriaFood

  1. Log in to your GloriaFood Dashboard.
  2. Go to Online Orders → Your Integrations.
  3. Click Add Integration.
  4. Select Custom Integration.

Configure the following:

Save the integration.

This Restaurant Key is your Accepted Orders API Key. Keep it for later.

3. Create the Fetch Menu API Integration

A second integration is required for menu synchronization.

  1. Click Add Integration again.
  2. Select Custom Integration.
  3. Under API Type, choose Fetch Menu.
  4. Generate a new Restaurant Key and copy it.

This is your Fetch Menu API Key.
4. Activate GloriaFood in MERGEPORT
Now switch to MERGEPORT.

  1. Open the MERGEPORT Controller:
    https://controller.mergeport.com
  2. Select your restaurant.
  3. Under Connected Platforms, click the + icon.
  4. Select GloriaFood.

In the activation form:

  • Restaurant Key – Accepted Orders API → paste the key from Step 2
  • Restaurant Key – Fetch Menu API → paste the key from Step 3

Save the configuration.

The integration is now active.
5. Assign POS Item IDs
To ensure proper item matching:
  1. Import your GloriaFood items via the MERGEPORT Controller.
  2. Open the item management section.
  3. Assign the correct POS Item IDs (PLU numbers).

This ensures your POS system can correctly match incoming order items.
6. Testing the Integration
To verify everything works:

  • Place a test order in your GloriaFood shop.
  • Check whether the order appears in the Orders section of the MERGEPORT Controller.
  • Confirm that your POS system receives and processes the order correctly.

If orders do not appear:

  • Verify the Endpoint URL
  • Verify both Restaurant Keys
  • Check that the POS connection status is online in MERGEPORT
Technical Notes

  • Two separate integrations are required:
    1. Accepted Orders API
    2. Fetch Menu API
  • Both Restaurant Keys must be configured correctly in MERGEPORT.
  • All order types and statuses must be enabled in GloriaFood.
