Can I set a default preparation time for Wolt via MERGEPORT?

No. Wolt does not apply a default preparation time that is sent via the MERGEPORT API.

Explanation

Even though preparation times can technically be included in API communication, Wolt does not use a default preparation time provided via MERGEPORT.

This means:

• A default preparation time must be configured directly in the Wolt Merchant Dashboard, or
• The preparation time must be controlled by the POS system during order acceptance, if supported.

MERGEPORT can forward preparation time updates, but Wolt does not rely on a globally defined default value coming from the API.

For consistent behavior, we recommend:

• Setting a default preparation time directly in Wolt, and
