With MERGEPORT, orders from Uber Eats can be automatically transferred into your POS system. Below you will find answers to the most common integration questions.

How does the connection work?

  1. Make sure your POS system is compatible with MERGEPORT. You can find the current list here: https://www.mergeport.com/integrate

  2. Open the MERGEPORT Controller at https://controller.mergeport.com and select the restaurant.

  3. Go to configuration and click “Add Platform”.

  4. Select Uber Eats from the list.

  5. Log in with the restaurant’s Uber Eats credentials. Alternatively, you can send the login link to the restaurant operator so they can complete the connection themselves.

  6. Once the integration is successful, Uber Eats will appear as “Online” in the MERGEPORT Controller.

What about item mapping?
  • POS item IDs must be stored in the Uber Eats Menu Management (Menu Maker).

  • Once the POS integration is active, Uber Eats often disables direct access to the Menu Maker. In this case, menu management must be done through the POS system.

  • A re-activation of the Menu Maker can be requested from Uber Eats support or handled by MERGEPORT support.

Do I still need the Uber Eats tablet?
  • In many cases, the tablet can be disabled after the integration is complete.

  • However, it may still be useful for specific workflows or testing purposes.
