Additional Features in the MERGEPORT Controller

The MERGEPORT Controller offers several additional control features for managing order flow.

MERGEPORT

Last Update a month ago

Optimized POS Communication (if supported)

Enables “Long Polling” for POS integration.

Requirement: The POS system must support this feature (currently only Xenia).

Benefits: Faster and more efficient communication between MERGEPORT and the POS.

Online Orders Active

This option is located directly in a restaurant’s order overview and is enabled by default.

When deactivated, we inform connected delivery platforms (currently Wolt and Uber Eats) that the restaurant’s online shop is temporarily closed.

Note: Platforms such as Lieferando or other self-ordering systems do not currently support this feature. The shop will remain online for those platforms regardless of the setting.

 Tablet Mode

This option can be found in the integration configuration of each platform.

If Tablet Mode is enabled, incoming orders will not be forwarded directly to the POS.
Instead, they must be manually accepted in the MERGEPORT Controller via the order overview.

Important: This feature is not related to the tablet activation toggles of individual platforms (e.g. Wolt or Lieferando tablet on/off).
It solely affects internal order routing within MERGEPORT.
